"I have been receiving her session for five years. Every session with Yoshiko is amazing to me."
What is Facial Reflexology?
Facial reflexology is a natural and holistic therapy that uses gentle pressure on specific points of the face to promote overall health and well-being.
Much like traditional reflexology on the feet and hands, facial reflexology is based on the idea that the face is a “map” that reflects the health of the entire body.
By stimulating certain facial points, this therapy can help balance energy, relieve stress, improve skin health, and support emotional healing.
Yoshiko completed both the basic and advanced Facial Reflexology courses at the London School of Reflexology, where she studied under prominent reflexologist and teacher Ziggy Bergman.
How to prepare?
It’s best to come with minimal or no makeup. However, if you’re wearing makeup, I will gently cleanse your face using Burt’s Bees Facial Cleansing Towelettes, avoiding the eye area.
You’re welcome to stay fully clothed if you prefer. In that case, I will focus on your face, scalp, and neck.
Many of my Japanese clients choose to wear a tank top and remove the bra or tank top straps after lying down on the table. This allows me to include gentle lymphatic drainage massage on the upper chest area (décolleté). Your breasts will remain fully covered with a sheet at all times.
What to expect?
I will begin by gently wrapping your hair with a towel, then wipe off any makeup or facial cream. I’ll apply facial oil (John Masters Organics facial oil and organic jojoba oil) and begin the facial reflexology session.
Using my fingers and a few rose quartz tools, I’ll apply gentle pressure to specific reflex and acupressure points on your face. The treatment is deeply relaxing — much like a facial spa massage with therapeutic focus.
From there, I will move on to your neck, décolleté, and shoulder areas.
Once facial reflexology is complete, I’ll remove the oil from my hands and work on your scalp.
To finish, I will wipe off any remaining lotion on your décolleté, shoulders, neck, and face using a warm steamed towel.
I will then apply a facial toner, cream, and sunscreen (optional). I use Neal’s Yard Remedies facial cream, but if you have sensitive skin, please feel free to bring your own products.
